Grow a tree foundation was established by experienced environmental practitioners whose pas-sion for sustainable development and trees transcends beyond geo-political boundaries. We have been alarmed by the unsus-tainable rate of deforestation across Africa. With the advent of climate change and its devastating impacts, there is an urgent need to combat deforestation and promote the utilization of clean energy while developing in a sustainable way for future generations to enjoy life on Earth as previous generations. The Foundation aims to promote climate resilience, create awareness on the value of trees, combat deforestation and reduce the current heavy dependence on trees as a primary source of energy through promoting the use of efficient clean energy.

• To promote reforestation and afforestation programmes by initiating, developing and supporting systematic tree growing programmes and projects.
• To promote the uptake and utilization of renewable technologies thereby reducing dependency on trees by rural and farming communities.
• To promote the design, manufacture and distribution of biomass efficient cookstoves across rural Africa’s and eradicate the use of open-fire cooking.
• To conduct environmental education, publicity and awareness programmes throughout communities and schools towards a well informed and responsible populace.
• To promote climate change adaptation and mitigation programmes across Africa through climate smart interventions.
